The BIM Engineers provided Building Information Modeling (BIM) services for the Porsche Champion Center project located in Broward County, Florida, USA. The project involved civil infrastructure modeling focused on underground utility networks across a project area of 271.82 acres. The BIM process was executed in accordance with BIM Forum standards, ensuring accurate and coordinated models for both existing and proposed conditions.
The project was executed in two phases. Phase 1 included LOD 300 BIM modeling for site and underground utilities based on civil CAD and PDF references, extending 20 feet beyond the project boundary. Phase 2 involved upgrading selected elements to LOD 350 through remodeling and adjustments using approved Procore submittals such as shop drawings and manufacturer data. Underground sewer, storm, and water networks were modeled discipline-wise with accurate slopes, invert levels, and elevations using AutoCAD Civil 3D. Coordination and clash detection were performed using Navisworks to ensure a coordinated and clash-free model.
