GRANDVIEW AVENUE WATERMAIN REPLACEMENT PHASE 3

The BIM Engineers provided Building Information Modeling (BIM) services for the Grandview Avenue Watermain Replacement Phase 3 project located in the City of Daytona Beach, Florida, United States. The project involved modeling potable water pressure utility networks using AutoCAD Civil 3D based on client-provided CAD files, PDFs, catalog data, and design references. The pressurized pipe systems were developed with accurate pipe sizes, fittings, valves, tees, and appurtenances to ensure proper system functionality and constructability. Construction sheets and supporting drawings were generated from the models while maintaining consistency between Civil 3D outputs and CAD documentation. Model coordination and clash detection were performed using Navisworks, and RFIs and client markups were incorporated into the model and drawings.

TBE - Value Addition

  • Construction drawings and plan/profile sheets generated from the Civil 3D model and delivered in CAD and PDF formats.
  • Accurate modeling of potable water pipe networks with fittings, valves, and appurtenances.
  • Schedules and quantity information prepared from the model.
  • Clash detection and coordination carried out using Navisworks.
  • RFIs and client markups reviewed and incorporated into the model and drawings.
